Faculty and Research

The Four Year Full-time Undergraduate
Program in Finance:
Objective of this program
is that through studies and intensive practices, in addition to further
development of their English speaking and writing skills, the students
shall master the fundamental principles of finance, economics, foreign
exchange, securities and futures, and shall be able to solve practical
financial problems, do bank credit analysis and risk management work,
and scientifically forecast and analyze foreign exchange markets, stock
and futures transactions. IBS-BLCU strives to provide the China-
and foreign-owned financial and non-financial organizations, namely,
banks, investment companies, securities companies, futures and trading
companies, insurance companies and other business entities, with talents
possessing sound financial and economic knowledge and well versed in
English.

The Four Year Full-time Undergraduate
Programs in Accounting (International Accounting):
This program offers a wide
range of compulsory and elective subjects. The objective is that through
studies and practices, the students shall not only be competent in
English and computer skills, but shall master the fundamental principles
in accounting, financial management, economics, and auditing, and shall
be familiar with domestic and foreign accounting principles and relevant
laws and regulations. They shall be capable of doing accounting,
financial management auditing with strong sense of innovation and
resourcefulness. They shall be competent to work in various
organizations, such as government and government agencies,
multi-national companies, foreign-funded enterprises, international
accounting companies and other similar organizations.

C. The Four-Year Full-Time Undergraduate Programs in International Economics and Trade:
This program aims to prepare and equip graduates to effectively compete for employment in international trade businesses, management, research, and other related fields. Through studies and practices, the students shall be competent in computer skills and English, both oral and written. They shall also master the fundamental principles of economics, management, finance, accounting, business laws, international economics and international trade. The students shall also acquire basic knowledge and skills in international trade, abreast of current status and development of global economy, trade and societies, and become familiar with usual customs and practices and regulations of international trade, and the Chinese foreign trade policies.

D.The Three Year Full-Time Graduate
Program in International Political Economics:
This program centers on
international finance operations, covering the studies of the general
law of international economic operations, and the stipulation and
adjustment of monetary policy, encompassing the following aspects:
finance theory and policy, finance business and its operation and
management, financial market investment theory and technical analysis,
theory and practice of international trade, domestic economic law and
international economic law.
The program aims to qualify the students with sound economic theoretical
knowledge of modern international economics, and systematic knowledge of
economics and finance. Students shall have a good command of
English in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating, and be
competent in analyzing and solving international economic, financial,
and legal problems, as well as qualified to teach in college level, both
Chinese and English. Graduates shall be able to effectively
compete for employment in management of economic, financial, and
business enterprises, and government and government agencies.
